Nearly 200 business leaders and guests attended a reception evening hosted by the Bevan Brittan in November to mark the opening of its new office in Leeds.
The firm is expanding its legal services in the North – with a total of seven new partners joining the firm with expertise across the public, private and third sectors. Bevan Brittan has moved into the city in response to client demand, making it one of the fastest growing firms delivering national public, private and third sector work.
“This was a special event because so many people from across the business community in Yorkshire were able to join us,” said new Leeds office senior partner Michael Boyd.
“This is a thriving region that continues to attract new investment and jobs, and is now developing leading edge service models that are changing the way our public services are delivered in the best interests of the people that use them.
“Across local government, health, housing and many other areas, the speed of change is accelerating against a challenging backdrop, and Bevan Brittan is able to support clients involved in these transformational projects as a result of its strong legal track record and relevant capability.”
Senior partner Bethan Evans, said that the firm was ambitious and had aspirations for sustainable growth, which was why it was making a significant investment and bringing in some of the very best talent in the UK, across both public sector and private specialisms.
“Leeds is a major commercial centre in its own right, taking a lead role in the Core Cities programme and housing NHS England’s national HQ as well as being a gateway to a wider, dynamic region. As such, it makes strong strategic sense for us to have a base in Leeds,” said Evans.
