Blacks Solicitors promotes Rebecca Holden to Head of Corporate

Blacks Solicitors has promoted Rebecca Holden to Head of Corporate, marking a strategic step in the firm’s continued expansion into higher value and more complex transactions.  Rebecca also joined the equity partnership of the firm as of 01 April.

With more than 15 years’ experience, Rebecca has advised on corporate matters in the UK and international markets. She trained and developed her career at top-tier global law firms, building valuable experience advising corporates, institutions and high-net-worth individuals on M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital and solvent restructurings.

Rebecca is particularly recognised for guiding strategic, multi-stakeholder deals and cross-border transactions as well as large-scale multi-jurisdictional reorganisations. Spanning a variety of sectors, including financial services, technology, healthcare, manufacturing and business services. Rebecca has extensive experience advising sophisticated clients, including household brands and major national and international organisations, on multi-million (and in some cases multi-billion) pound corporate transactions. Most recently, advising the shareholders of Wow Sleep on its sale to The Sleep Group.

Rebecca Holden, Partner and Head of Corporate at Blacks Solicitors, said: “Blacks offer the opportunity to work on high-quality, complex matters within an environment that combines autonomy with a strong level of support from a highly capable team.

“The team has seen sustained growth and continues to build its profile in terms of expertise and client service, with clear ambitions for future growth. The opportunity to develop a boutique Corporate practice, focused on high standards of client service alongside a proportionate approach to costs, was a key factor in my decision to join the firm.

“It is an important and exciting period for the team as it continues to strengthen its position in the mid-market. Blacks is increasingly seeing traction with deals that it may not have previously been considered for, reflecting growing market recognition. Over the next twelve months, we hope to double the size of the team through both organic growth and lateral hires, building on the progress achieved to date and to satisfy ongoing demand.”

Chris Allen, Managing Partner at Blacks Solicitors, added: “Rebecca’s promotion marks an important step in the continued growth of our Corporate team. Nigel Hoyle, who has played a pivotal role in developing the team, will remain actively involved in the business, ensuring continuity as Rebecca takes on this leadership role.

“We are excited about the future as we are expanding into two floors at 29 King Street and are looking forward to continuing to deliver an exceptional client experience.”
