Apprenticeship Guide launches new legal sector to support future law apprentices

Leeds-based Apprenticeship Guide has recently launched a dedicated legal sector section to support students seeking a route into law through an apprenticeship.

The publication, which has helped thousands of young people explore career pathways for two decades, has added the new content as part of a broader commitment to improving awareness of alternative routes into the legal profession.

The guide’s new legal section will profile a range of apprenticeship standards in law, from paralegal to solicitor level, and highlight the firms and chambers across the UK that offer apprenticeship opportunities.

The move comes amid growing demand from students for career routes that offer both practical experience and academic progression, as well as calls from employers for more targeted recruitment channels.

The team behind The Apprenticeship Guide is now seeking law firms across Yorkshire and beyond who offer legal apprenticeships and wish to be featured in the 2026 edition.

Francesca Kaye, Editor at The Apprenticeship Guide, said:
“With legal apprenticeships becoming an increasingly viable and respected route into the profession, we want to ensure students know what’s available and how to get started. We’re now calling on law firms who offer these opportunities to come forward and showcase their programmes within the guide.”

The printed Apprenticeship Guide is published and distributed to hundreds of schools and colleges across the UK annually in the month of October. It also maintains a free online resource hub used by teachers, careers advisers and students.

Firms wishing to be featured in the legal sector section of the guide can get in touch via www.apprenticeshipguide.co.uk or by emailing the editorial team at hello@apprenticeshipguide.co.uk.
