To provide better access to justice for those based in the north, Leigh Day is expanding its northern operation in Leeds. This will ensure greater capacity to help people in Yorkshire, with a particular focus on personal injury claims such as catastrophic injury cases, product safety, asbestos claims, travel claims, cycling injuries and medical negligence claims.
Through its expanded Leeds team, Leigh Day’s personal injury and medical negligence departments will be able to provide more face-to-face support for clients.
Leigh Day’s asbestos specialist team has represented many clients in Yorkshire and the Humber who have been diagnosed or had a loved one diagnosed with the devastating disease mesothelioma; a fatal form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.
Leigh Day sits on a number of national asbestos panels, including the SARAG and the Yorkshire and Humberside Asbestos Support group.
Leigh Day supports Day One Trauma Support, an organisation that aims to help those affected by traumatic incidents to navigate the challenges that they now face. Recently, Leigh Day staff members completed a 50-mile cycling challenge from the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield to the Leeds General Infirmary to support Day One.
Leigh Day has recently sponsored a bear in the ‘Leeds Bear Hunt’, a public art trail designed to raise money for Leeds Hospitals Charity.
