JWP Solicitors is pleased to announce the promotion of Gareth Long to the position of Managing Director, effective 1st July 2025. Gareth completes this move following over two decades of dedicated service, having joined the firm in 2003 and becoming a partner in 2011.
Gareth has operated as the Head of the Family Department at JWP for several years and is known for his expertise in complex financial matters arising from divorce and relationship breakdowns, as well as his extensive advocacy experience in both County and High Courts. His appointment marks the next chapter in the continued growth and evolution of JWP Solicitors.
Gareth’s promotion comes at an exciting time for the firm, as JWP continues to build on its momentum with strategic investments in people and offices. This year has seen the addition of several talented solicitors across departments, strengthening the firm’s capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to excellence in client service. In particular, the Private Client department has experienced significant growth, reflecting increasing demand and a reputation for high-quality legal support in this area.
In 2024, the firm expanded its regional footprint with the opening of a new office in Bradford, extending its reach and accessibility across West Yorkshire. Their footprint was further boosted this month with the move of the Huddersfield office to the vibrant community of Lindley – an accessible high-street location from which to serve their clients.
Alongside Gareth sits a leadership team of 5 Directors with decades of combined experience in their specialist fields. Under their leadership, JWP will continue to drive forward its long-term strategy for sustainable growth, with a strong focus on client service.
Gareth commented, “I’m honoured to take on this new role at such an exciting time for JWP. As we celebrate our 25th year serving the West Yorkshire community, I look forward to continuing our progress and supporting our talented team as we grow and evolve to meet the needs of our clients.”
