Ward Hadaway today announced its 2022-23 financial results.
Ward Hadaway, which has offices in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, announced revenue for the financial year of over £45m. It marks the firm’s eighth consecutive year of growth, during which time it has grown by more than a third.
The firm has had investments in Leeds and Manchester in recent years and an expansion of its legal services. Ward Hadaway has also experienced growth across its Yorkshire and North West teams. This progress aligns with the firm’s objectives to operate offices in those areas as well as the North East.
The firm’s managing partner, Martin Hulls, said: “I am delighted with the consistent turnover growth we have achieved over the last eight years. During a time of unprecedented economic and societal turbulence, of a significantly rising cost base, of micro- and macro-economic headwinds both internationally and at home, we have demonstrated the benefit of being committed, consistent and considered. To achieve our highest ever turnover against this backdrop, assisted by the particularly strong growth in Leeds and Manchester as well as continued development in Newcastle, is testament to the clear focus maintained by our teams right across the firm.”
During the 2022-23 financial year, Ward Hadaway recruited 78 new people, and made 54 promotions. They actively commit to attracting, developing, and retaining talent on an ongoing basis. This includes retaining all of the 12 qualifying trainees and apprentices within the business when they completed their training contracts in September.
Martin added: “Our business is our people. People who appreciate the needs of our clients by living and breathing their challenges with them. Employees who attract the region’s talent to work alongside them because they themselves feel motivated and invested in Ward Hadaway. Our people also challenge us to operate responsibly as we look to the future of our business, our communities and our planet.”
