The Yorkshire Legal Support Trust is the regional division of the Access for Justice Foundation, a charity that raises and distributes funds to support the legal advice centres that give free legal advice to the poorest and most vulnerable members of society.
This year, the Yorkshire Legal Support Trust is again staging the fundraising 10k legal walks in Leeds, Sheffield and York, and new for this year, Doncaster:
- Doncaster Legal Walk, Monday 21 June
- Sheffield Legal Walk, Thursday 24 June
- York Legal Walk, Monday 28 June
The Leeds Legal Walk attracted more than 500 walkers in 2019 and a similar number of participants are expected this year, so the decision has been taken, for 2021 only and in view of the need for caution around mass gatherings, to hold the event over the course of a week.
Leeds Legal Walk Week teams will be able to walk at a time of their choosing at any point during the seven-day period between Monday 12 July and Sunday 18 July.
Further information, including details of how to register teams for the events, can be found on the Yorkshire Legal Support Trust website.
Free legal advice services can make a huge difference to people’s lives and by walking and raising money you can help the Yorkshire Legal Support Trust to make that difference.
