Parklane Plowden Chambers has begun 2020 with a newly strengthened family team.
The chambers, which is based in both Leeds and Newcastle, yesterday welcomed 13 new family law barristers and pupils from Zenith Chambers.
This is the single biggest move of a specialist team that Parklane Plowden has secured since its formation in 2007. In 2018, eight specialist Chancery and commercial barristers joined from St Philips.
Parklane Plowden now exceeds 100 members, delivering expert legal advice and advocacy across multiple practice areas.
The chambers now has 42 specialist family law barristers, making it home to the largest family team operating purely out of the Northeast.
The new additions to the team are:
- Nkumbe Ekaney QC
- John Worrall
- Philippa Wordsworth
- Louise McCallum
- Clare Garnham
- Rosemary Exall
- Lucy Sowden
- Lewis Donnelly
- Maxine Best
- Nathaniel Garner
- Emily Ross
- Chloe Branton (pupil of Louise McCallum)
- Shabab Rizvi (pupil of Lucy Sowden)
Mark Williams, practice director of the family team at Parklane Plowden, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome so many highly regarded and experienced barristers to our team. These new additions enhance and further strengthen our children and family finance offering to clients from across the region and beyond.”
