Employees at Morrish Solicitors have raised more than £9,260 for local children’s cancer charity Candlelighters.
Leeds-based Morrish Solicitors has partnered with Candlelighters for the past two years to raise funds to support children with cancer across Yorkshire.
The team across three offices has walked the Yorkshire Three Peaks, abseiled 115 feet, and held various raffles, bake sales and even a balloon pop to help with practical, emotional and financial support for children and their families.
As the two-year partnership comes to a close, Paul Scholey, senior partner at Morrish Solicitors, said: “I’m delighted to see how much our teams have raised for this really worthy cause. It’s important for us to be part of the wider Leeds community and initiatives like this show that we take out broader corporate social responsibilities seriously.”
“Congratulations to all of the participants and best wishes to the excellent folks at Candlelighters.”
Morrish Solicitors has previously worked with the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and the Alzheimer’s Society as its charity partners.
The firm raised £8,000 for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, which supports the Yorkshire heart unit at Leeds General Infirmary.
Morrish Solicitors also raised £2,400 for the Alzheimer’s Society, the leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers.
