Haggerty Jaques celebrates fifth anniversary

Yorkshire-based legal recruitment agency Haggerty Jaques is celebrating five years in business this month.

To mark the occasion, founders Katie Haggerty and Amy Jaques hosted a party at Veeno in Leeds.

Speaking about the event, they said: “It has been such a pleasure to bring our clients together in celebrating what have been five fantastic years in business and thanking them for their continued support.

“We certainly didn’t expect to be dealing with a global pandemic during this time, but hard work, resilience, and offering a genuinely unique and personal service held us in good stead. Here’s to many more years of doing what we love!”

Katie Haggerty and Amy Jaques recruit legal professionals at all levels—from paralegals to partners, heads of legal, risk and compliance professionals, and company secretaries—into private practice and in-house legal teams.

Over the last five years, Haggerty Jaques has recruited lawyers into legal teams all over the country, including in London, Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Leicester and Leeds.

Katie Haggerty said: “We spend a lot of time with our candidates and clients so that we can truly understand the brief. Amy and I also work collaboratively—so every candidate and every client works with us both, which we find to be extremely beneficial.”

Before founding the agency, Katie Haggerty had spent many years recruiting for in-house legal teams across the Northwest, Yorkshire and the Northeast

Amy Jaques’s career started as a regulatory lawyer for two Big Six firms before she made the move into legal recruitment, recruiting for private practice, both on behalf of an agency but also in-house with an international law firm.

Amy Jaques commented: “Because we have been involved in legal recruitment from all angles, and because we work collaboratively, we are able to provide a holistic and consultative approach. The fantastic feedback we receive from our clients and candidates is testament to the success of this approach.”
