Harrogate law firm Haddleton Legal has recruited data specialist Katie Parratt to support the growth of its life sciences and technology division and the development of its online legal and compliance training portal, Haddleton Academy.
Parratt specialises in medical informatics and will also be tasked with designing new systems and processes to support the law firm’s expansion and improve client and team experience.
James Haddleton said of her arrival: “This is a strategic appointment that will see Katie working as part of the Haddleton Legal back office team and as an integral part of our growing life sciences division.”
“Her experience in medical informatics will add huge value to our work with fast growth life science companies and her skills will also be deployed within our own business to enhance our internal operations.”
“Katie has already been instrumental in ensuring the successful launch of our e-learning portal Haddleton Academy and part of her role will be to continue developing this platform for use by businesses in all sectors.”
Haddleton Legal appointed senior pharmaceutical lawyer Liam McIlveen to its life sciences division earlier this year.
McIlveen joined the Harrogate-based firm from AstraZeneca, where he was an in-house lawyer for more than 25 years specialising in life sciences transactions, intellectual property licences, collaborations, product disposals and acquisitions, mergers and acquisitions projects and other commercial and research and development deals.
