Charity solicitor joins Stone King in Leeds

Stone King has welcomed Sam Dowgill to its charity and social enterprise team at the firm’s Leeds office in One Park Row.

Dowgill has joined Stone King from the Leeds Community Foundation, where he was responsible for managing various regional and national grant programmes.

Prior to this, he worked for several charitable organisations including the Shelter Centre in Switzerland. He completed his training contract at 3volution.

Partner Tom Murdoch (pictured), who leads the firm’s charity and social enterprise work in Leeds, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to Stone King, he will be a valuable addition to the team here in Leeds. He will focus on serving local and national clients, and continuing to build Stone King’s local and national profile from our Yorkshire office.”

The firm moved into its new home in central Leeds earlier this year.

It moved into the new office at One Park Row at the beginning of April, following the hires of further education head Tom Morrison and employment partner Dr John McMullen.

The firm specialises in four sectors of education, charity and social enterprise, business, and private client. The firm also has offices in Bath, Birmingham, Cambridge and London.
