Law firm BRM has strengthened its contentious trusts and probate services with the appointment of an experienced solicitor – giving the team a permanent presence in Chesterfield.
The firm has welcomed Isobel Price to the department, which has traditionally operated from its Sheffield city centre office, handling disputes involving wills, estates and inheritances across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
As a solicitor, Isobel brings years of experience to the role, including work on agricultural inheritance disputes, Court of Protection matters and complex claims involving trusts and property ownership.
She said: “Joining BRM is an exciting opportunity for me to build on my experience, contribute to the firm’s impressive contentious probate team, and learn from experienced colleagues within a forward-thinking and supportive firm.

“I was particularly drawn to the opportunity to develop my experience in contentious probate, an area of law that combines complex legal issues with highly personal and often sensitive family disputes.”
Isobel began her legal career at Irwin Mitchell, in Sheffield, as a legal adviser. She then joined Spencers Solicitors, in Chesterfield, as a paralegal, before starting a training contract at specialist agricultural firm Nigel Davis Solicitors, in Ashbourne, where she qualified as a solicitor in 2023.
Among her career highlights are successfully resolving a number of complex and high-value inheritance, trust and property disputes involving assets worth millions of pounds, as well as being recognised in Legal 500’s 2026 editorial commentary for her contribution to her firm’s litigation practice.
She added: “I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of contentious probate work and I hope to help clients navigate difficult circumstances with clear, practical and empathetic advice.”
Isobel is the latest new starter in a continuing recruitment drive for BRM, having appointed Anthony Ogley as director of residential and commercial development in July, as well as Onyi Anya and Molly Twigg as paralegals and administrators in the firm’s corporate and employment law teams, respectively, earlier this month.
