Kings Chambers’ Jodie Wildridge appointed R3 Yorkshire chair

Jodie Wildridge, who specialises in insolvency and commercial litigation at leading barristers set Kings Chambers, has been appointed as the new chair of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, for the Yorkshire region.

Jodie, who previously held the position of vice chair, will champion the interests of the county’s restructuring, turnaround and insolvency professionals on a regional and national level, as well as supporting the organisation’s programme of conferences and events.

Recognised by Legal 500 as a Rising Star in the field of Company and Insolvency Law, her areas of expertise include company and shareholder disputes, high-value Companies Act claims and professional negligence litigation, while she also enjoys a busy advisory and drafting practice alongside court work.

Jodie succeeds Dave Broadbent as the Chair of R3 Yorkshire who had held the position since 2024, and steps into the role at a time when businesses are facing pressures from rising fuel and energy costs with corporate insolvencies increasing by 7% in March, according to figures from the government’s Insolvency Service.

Speaking of her appointment, Jodie said: “It’s an honour to be taking on this role and building on the fantastic progress made by my predecessor, Dave. I look forward to supporting the county’s restructuring and insolvency professionals and ensuring their views and opinions are heard and represented both here in Yorkshire and from a national perspective too.”

Caroline Sumner, R3 CEO commented: “I’m pleased to welcome Jodie as R3 Yorkshire chair. Jodie brings significant experience and understanding of the challenges facing businesses across the region. At a time of ongoing economic uncertainty, R3 members play a vital role in helping businesses and individuals to navigate financial difficulties and achieve the best outcome.”

Ranked as one of the country’s leading sets of civil barristers, Kings Chambers operates out of Chambers in Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham. The set comprises more than 125 barristers including 21 King’s Counsel.

R3 is the trade association for the UK’s community of restructuring, turnaround and insolvency professionals.
