Simpson Millar has expanded its childcare proceedings department with two key appointments. Sarah Warburton, a seasoned solicitor, and paralegal Josie Gabriel.
Sarah Warburton, who was previously employed by 174 Family Law, has over three years of experience in her field. She provides representation in cases involving social services, care proceedings and more.
Josie Gabriel, based in Leeds, is a law graduate from the University of Cambridge.
Patricia Cannon, head of childcare proceedings at Simpson Millar, welcomed the new appointments, praising their empathy and understanding.
Increased client demand has led to several promotions within the 19-strong childcare proceedings team.
Lidia Foster has been promoted to senior associate, and Sean Harrison to associate. Saskia Coles and Tamara Baker have been promoted to senior paralegals. Lydia Neill has rejoined the team after qualifying as a solicitor, and Ameeta Bhuhi is set to qualify in October 2023.
Simpson Millar has recently begun a transformation programme to improve its processes. The investment will improve the client experience and allow legal teams to focus more on case work. The firm is also streamlining administrative tasks through automation. This will make their legal services more efficient and client centric.
