Yorkshire Legal Awards 2020 set for 8 October

The next Yorkshire Legal Awards will take place on 8 October 2020.

Yorkshire’s premier legal celebration is returning to New Dock Hall in its 21st year, when 1,000 attendees are expected to gather to celebrate the profession’s leading individuals and firms.

The focus of next year’s Yorkshire Legal Awards is promoting legal excellence and development, with the aim of championing the profession’s next generation of legal talent, as well as maintaining and improving standards in recruitment and retention.

There are seven organisation categories, six focusing on individuals, including Rising Star of the Year and Trainee of the Year, and 12 recognising excellence across practice areas such as banking and finance and commercial property.

The deadline for entries is 26 June 2020. Entering is as easy and simple as ever, requiring between 250 and 1,000 words for a written submission, or a three-minute video.

An independent panel of judges assesses the entries following the deadline, and then convenes to make its final decisions on winners, which will be revealed during the ceremony on 8 October 2020.

Sponsors supporting the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2020 include: Appleyard Lees, Brewin Dolphin, High Court Enforcement Group, InfoTrack, Park Square Barristers, Spire Barristers and St Philips Chambers.
