Trainee Solicitor of the Year Annie Beaumont celebrates Yorkshire Legal Awards win

Annie Beaumont, from Leeds-based law firm Blacks Solicitors, is busy celebrating after winning the coveted Trainee of the Year Award at this year’s Yorkshire Legal Awards.

Now in their 20th year, the Yorkshire Legal Awards brings together the region’s legal community to recognise and celebrate its achievements.

The independent panel of judges, who commented that there was a very high standard of entrants for the category this year, chose Beaumont because it is clear she goes the extra mile for her clients, has shown a very mature commitment to her training and specialism in mental health work, and has demonstrated her very keen team spirit.

Beaumont was honoured to have been awarded Trainee of the Year. She said: “Having the opportunity to train at a law firm as respected as Blacks is a real privilege. It’s such a brilliant place to work and I couldn’t have done it without them.”

To have been shortlisted and then won at the Yorkshire Legal Awards is something I’ll never forget.”

Chris Allen, managing partner at Blacks, said: “I’m extremely proud of Annie and her continued commitment not only to her Training Contract and the business, but also to supporting the wider community.”

“Her win is completely deserved and the whole firm is absolutely thrilled for her. I hope this award spurs her on to achieve even more success in the future.”
