National law firm Stone King is relocating to larger premises in Leeds to accommodate ongoing growth.
The firm is moving into almost 1,200 square feet of office space at 1 City Square in central Leeds on 23 March, from its current base in Aire Street.
Stone King first opened an office in Leeds in 2016 to strengthen its position in Yorkshire and the north of England, particularly in the education sector. Two years later, the firm’s relocation to new premises coincides with a strategic goal to further develop its position in the charity and business sectors in the region.
As part of this strategy, charity partner Tom Murdoch (pictured) is moving to Leeds from the firm’s London office in April.
Steven Greenwood, managing partner at Stone King, said: “This is a very positive move for us, showing our commitment to Leeds and the wider region. As national leaders in the education and charity sectors we are looking to further reinforce our presence here and support many more schools and charities in the area.”
“We will further consolidate our position in the charity sector with the invaluable support of our charity partner Tom Murdoch.”
Murdoch added: “We’re the only nationally top-ranked charity team with a genuinely local presence in each of the regions. We already work with numerous charities in the north of England and have been meeting with many more new contacts in the area.”
“I look forward to being permanently based in Leeds and on the doorstep to offer our support and charity expertise to even more Yorkshire organisations.”
Stone King employs more than 240 people across offices in Leeds, London, Bath, Cambridge and Birmingham.
