Morrish Solicitors welcomes work experience student

Morrish Solicitors has welcomed its first-ever A-level work experience student from Rodillian Academy state school in South Leeds.

In the October half-term, the A-level student joined the firm’s head office in Leeds for a week-long work experience placement.

Over the course of five days, the firm provided the student with a range of tasks and activities, including research, dictation, and shadowing some of its personal injury and employment solicitors.

The aim was to provide the student with insight into legal careers, highlight the key skills that are needed for the legal profession, and give them experience with legal work to enable them to make an informed career choice.

Morrish is offering law work experience placements as part of its approach to encourage individuals from socially diverse areas to work in the legal profession and help in their local community to improve social and wider diversity within the profession.

As part of Morrish’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, the firm has entered a partnership with Rodillian Academy to support students who are interested in a career in law.

In September 2022, Morrish plans to launch its legal apprenticeships programme, which is linked to part of the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination rolled out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
