Morrish Solicitors launches new inquest service

Yorkshire law firm Morrish Solicitors has launched new inquest service to provide support to individuals and families across the country.

The new service will be managed by the firm’s Leeds-based partner, John Morrison (pictured). Since qualifying with the firm in 2003, he has specialised in personal injury claims and has regularly worked on complex high-profile inquest cases.

These cases include representing a bus driver who suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision with an ambulance highjacked by a patient being transferred between hospitals, as well as individual probation officers in three separate inquests investigating unlawful killing by individuals subject to probation supervision, which were the subject of extensive press coverage.

An inquest is “an important process … first and foremost for families seeking answers following the death of a loved one, but also for the wider understanding the established facts might provide in helping prevent future deaths”, Morrison said.

David Sorensen, managing partner at Morrish Solicitors, commented “We are delighted to launch a dedicated inquest service complementing our specialist personal injury and medical negligence work. We have decades of specialist experience in inquest matters as the firm reaches its 140th year this year.”
