Leeds Legal Walk Returns This June to Support Access to Justice

The 2026 Leeds Legal Walk, in aid of the Access to Justice Foundation, is taking place on Wednesday 24th June 2026. The walk, which is open to all members of the legal profession, their friends and families, follows a 10k route through the city centre and starts at 5.30 pm outside the Leeds Combined Courts Centre, Oxford Row Leeds. The walk finishes at Leeds Law School, Broadcasting House, Woodhouse Lane, Leeds for end of drink walks very kindly sponsored by Leeds Law School and live music provided by Scott and the Antarctics.

Legal WalkLast year, the Leeds Legal Walk was the largest legal walk outside London not only in terms of the number of walkers taking part but also in terms of the amount of money raised and the Access to Justice Foundation Yorkshire are keen to retain the title this year. Over five hundred walkers have already registered to take part in this year’s walk so far, with the aim to beat last year’s nine hundred walkers and raise over £10,000 again too.

The Access to Justice Foundation Yorkshire is the regional committee of the Access to Justice Foundation which raises funds to support the agencies that provide free legal advice. Grants are awarded to those agencies who support some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our society, enabling them to understand their legal issues, access their rights and regain control of their lives. As you will be aware the few years have seen a huge reduction in government and local authority funding of legal advice.

Full details of how to register for the walk and details of how to make donations can be found in the events section of the Leeds Law Society website www.leedslawsociety.org.uk.
