The Leeds Junior Lawyers Division (Leeds JLD) is inviting applications for a range of new committee positions following its successful annual ball event.
The Junior Lawyers Division (JLD) is a non-profit organisation which aims to promote the interests of their members and develop relationships across the legal community. The Leeds JLD is open to LPC students, legal apprentices, trainees, newly qualified solicitors, paralegals, and pupils and barristers early on in their career. The organisation arranges social, training, education and networking events for junior lawyers across the city.
The Leeds committee is seeking enthusiastic candidates for the roles of Publicity Officer, Sponsorship Representative, FELT Representative, Bar Representative, and a newly introduced Apprentice/Trainee Representative.
Applications are open until 12 pm on 22 November 2024. Prospective candidates are asked to submit a statement of up to 500 words detailing their suitability and vision for the role. Queries about specific roles can be directed to leedsjld@outlook.com, and more details are available on the Leeds JLD website at www.leedsjld.com.
Committee meetings are held monthly, with the first of 2025 scheduled for 8 January. If multiple candidates apply for the same position, current Leeds JLD members will vote to determine the successful applicants. Results will be announced by early December.
According to a recent LinkedIn post, Leeds JLD encourages junior legal professionals based in Leeds to apply and looks forward to welcoming new members to the team.
