National professional services business Knights has expanded its Leeds office by launching a dedicated Family law team with the appointment of Senior Associate Ella Dodgson and Associate Rebecca Laffan.
Ella joins Knights from Ward Hadaway, while Rebecca has joined from Harrowells Limited.
Ella’s specialism includes complex financial settlements on divorce, including high-value and intricate asset division. She also advises on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, helping clients protect their wealth and plan with confidence.
Meanwhile, Rebecca has extensive expertise in securing fair financial outcomes on divorce, tailored to her clients’ needs. She also handles private law children cases involving safeguarding concerns.
Both regularly act for entrepreneurs, business owners and individuals with inherited or generational wealth.
Having previously worked together at Harrowells Limited in 2022, their move to Knights reunites them and strengthens an already established professional rapport.
Ella and Rebecca’s appointment will introduce a Family law presence in Leeds for the first time, complementing Knights’ existing Family teams across the country.
Ella said:
“Knights really stood out to us because of its progressive and entrepreneurial approach to legal services. The One Team ethos and collaborative culture align closely with our own values, and we’re excited to bring our expertise to Leeds and play a role in growing the Family practice here.”
Lisa Shacklock, Group Client Services Director at Knights, said:
“Ella and Rebecca bring real strength and depth to our Family offering, particularly in high-value financial settlements and complex children matters. Their arrival also signals our commitment to building a strong Family presence in Leeds, where we continue to expand our private client services alongside our business-focused offering.”
With a network of 32 offices and 1,350 professionals nationwide, he’ll work to connect teams, share expertise, and ensure clients benefit from the full breadth of Knights’ offering.
Knights are ranked within the top 50 UK law firms by revenue, providing multiple services to business clients alongside premium advisory services to private individuals.
