hlw Keeble Hawson has acted for Peak Venues, a holiday property rental company, in a £2.2m luxury development.
Peak Venues has bought a Grade-II listed farm situated near the village of Matlock in the Peak District in a private sale. The property, purchased for £600,000, will undergo a £1.6m two-phase refurbishment into a hi-spec, self-catering, holiday accommodation while retaining its original features.
hlw Keeble Hawson was commissioned for the scheme just months after the firm represented the developer in the purchase of a £1 million estate near Buxton which will further boost the company’s range of large executive holiday homes.
Peak Venues founder, Justin Heslop, said: “Our rapid growth over the last decade is attributable to our commitment to give visitors the opportunity to enjoy the Peak District from the comfort of high end conversions. Property purchase within national parks can be a complicated process – which is why we once again called on the expertise of hlw Keeble Hawson’s commercial property solicitor, Clare Darwood.”
Richard Smith, partner and head of hlw Keeble Hawson’s commercial property team, said: “Peak Venues is a vibrant, niche business which is enjoying well deserved success and we value the opportunity to help further accelerate its expansion in the Peak District.”
