Blacks Solicitors has promoted 21 of its team members across multiple specialist teams.
Seven teams across the firm have announced the promotion of colleagues; real estate, commercial dispute resolution, residential property, employment, IT, real estate litigation and private wealth & succession.
Blacks recently celebrated a record net turnover of £17 million in 2023 and currently employs 217 team members across 21 specialisms.
Paul Sagar from real estate litigation joined the firm in 2022 and Marcus Kaye, working inn real estate, joined in 2017. They have both been promoted to partners.
Commenting on his promotion, Marcus Kaye said: “I’m dedicated to continuing to deliver highly valued and quality services in my new role. It’s been a pleasure to have helped develop our real estate specialism whilst being supported by the firm, focusing on real estate finance transactions.”
Anna Schiavetta has been promoted to associate solicitor in employment law, Danielle Swainston in commercial dispute resolution, and Claire Cooper in residential property.
Annie Beaumont, Samantha Simpson, Andrew Morgan, Yat Wong, and Ben Finley have all earned promotions to senior associate solicitor, specialising in private wealth & succession, residential property, commercial dispute resolution (Andrew Morgan and Yat Wong), and real estate respectively.
In 2023, Anna collaborated with barrister Rachel Senior from the Kings Chamber to successfully represent a Direct Line employee in a discrimination case. It is believed that this case resulted in the highest award in the UK for a claim of disability discrimination related to menopause.

Jack Parkinson, Will Ashton, Shamaila Mughalm, Faye Parkinson, Abbie Spence, Helen Carter, Eleanor Firth, and Gulfraz Ahmed have all received promotions to non-qualified associates in residential property. IT have promoted Andy Manns and Gavin Peer.
