Sheffield law firm Taylor Emmet has retained its top-tier position in two key practice areas in the latest Legal 500 rankings, with its Family and Contentious Probate teams both ranked in Tier One in Yorkshire.
The firm has also secured continued recognition across its Clinical Negligence, Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate and Personal Injury practices, underlining the breadth of its specialist legal expertise across the region.
Taylor Emmet’s Family team has retained its No.1 ranking, with team head Michaela Evans named in the Legal 500’s Hall of Fame and Lucy Rodgers recognised as a Leading Partner.
The Legal 500 highlights the team’s comprehensive expertise across complex financial remedies and cohabitation matters, as well as domestic abuse and children law issues. It also recognises the firm’s dedicated legal aid team, which supports vulnerable clients.
Michaela Evans is described as a highly experienced practitioner who is qualified to offer the innovative Resolution Together dispute resolution model, while Lucy Rodgers is recognised for her expertise in complex financial remedies.

The firm’s Contentious Trusts and Probate team has also retained its No. 1 ranking, with team head Alex Watkinson recognised as a Leading Partner.
The Legal 500 highlights the team’s expertise in trustee disputes and will validity claims at High Court level, with Alex Watkinson noted for his extensive experience in high-profile Inheritance Act 1975 claims. Komal Landa is also recognised for her expertise in Court of Protection matters involving property and finance, disputed trusts and the removal of executors.

In addition, Taylor Emmet’s Clinical Negligence team has retained its Tier Three ranking, with the practice led by James Drydale. The firm’s Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate team has also retained its Tier Three ranking. Taylor Emmet’s Personal Injury team is ranked fourth, with practice head John Green recognised for his work across serious road traffic accidents, brain injury, cycling accidents, public liability and fatal accident claims.
