Ward Hadaway expands its team with three new trainees in Leeds

Ward Hadaway is making waves with the recruitment of three trainees to its Leeds office, part of a nationwide intake of 13 trainees. This expansion demonstrates the firm’s ongoing commitment to fostering emerging legal talent.

Aimee Winterbottom, Elizabeth Collings, and Ross Henderson are the new additions to the team, taking the total number of trainees in the Leeds office to five.

Caroline Jones, the firm’s recruitment and emerging talent manager, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We’re delighted to welcome new trainees to our team in Leeds. At Ward Hadaway, we believe that nurturing talent and providing the right environment for growth is paramount. Our commitment to employee development is a priority, and we are excited to see our trainees thrive in our inclusive, supportive culture.”

Trainees undergo a two-year training contract, rotating through four practice areas every six months, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and expertise to practice as solicitors upon qualification.

Emma Digby, the executive partner in the Leeds office, emphasised the firm’s commitment to employee development and the importance of recruiting individuals with the right skills and capabilities to realise the firm’s vision.

Approximately 30% of the organisation’s current management team started their careers as Ward Hadaway trainees, underscoring the pivotal role of trainees in the firm’s people strategy.

Aimee Winterbottom, one of the newly recruited trainees, commended the recruitment process, stating; “I’m a big advocate of the recruitment process I experienced at Ward Hadaway. They were genuinely interested in my aspirations and career goals. Since I joined, the commitment to helping trainees step up to the newly qualified role and reach other professional milestones has been highly evident, which makes me confident about my long-term future at the firm.”
