Lisa Haythorne

Sheffield District Law Society

Lisa Haythorne started her career in 1996 at Dibb & Clegg Solicitors in Barnsley, then in 1998 moved to Tofield Swann & Smythe and in 2001 worked at Banner Jones Solicitors until 2006. Lisa now works at the Derbyshire Law Centre where she specialises in housing and discrimination work. Lisa has worked in a not-for-profit agency for the past 13 years.

On becoming president of Sheffield & District Law Society, Lisa said: “I am very grateful to have been elected as president of Sheffield & District Law Society and I am excited about the year ahead. Due to the current situation, it will be a challenging start to my year, but one I feel we all in together at this time. Because of my background and previous experience, I am hoping this year, to work with not only the high street firms, but also firms that still provide legal aid work, which I feel can be a forgotten part of the profession.”

Lisa is dual qualified as a legal executive and solicitor.

Lisa is married and is a very proud mother of three children, her youngest being four years old. Her husband is also a solicitor and a deputy district judge. In her spare time, Lisa is also on the board of a women’s refuge and treasurer of a school Parent Teacher Friends Association. She also enjoys attending concerts and walking in the Peak District.
