New CON29DW Changes

SafeMove – a trading arm of Yorkshire Water is the official compiler of the CON29DW in Yorkshire. Working alongside industry partners they are your primary source to provide you with all your conveyancing requirements nationwide.

Working in consultation with The Law Society, The Drainage and Water Searches Network (DWSN) have agreed changes to the CON29DW to ensure that the Enquiry provides conveyancers with the most up-to-date information available when advising their clients on the impact of water and waste water networks in relation to property purchases.

Summary of key changes:

1. Inclusion of details on private pumping stations

2. Impact of sustainable drainage systems (SUDs) on newly adopted sewerage networks

3. Removal of water quality information as this is not property specific; however this information will still be available on individual water companies’ web sites

4. Provision of water hardness information

The new CON29DW went live in SafeMove on 16th May 2016.

SafeMove will be available at the Yorkshire Legal Conference in September to provide you with further information on our training courses and to answer any questions you may have – come and see us at our exhibition stand!
