Atherton Godfrey has appointed personal injury specialist Katrina Elsey.
Elsey (pictured below) joins the firm from Irwin Mitchell, where she worked in a large personal injury department.
She has almost 16 years’ experience in the legal field and has vast experience in dealing with claims resulting from injuries in public places, in shops and road traffic accidents. She also specialises in handling claims for people who have been injured by dogs, on aeroplanes, in sporting accidents, in care homes or beauty salons.
She has handled some high profile cases that have attracted the attention of ITV News, BBC Look North, local radio stations and numerous newspapers and magazines.
Atherton Godfrey’s senior partner, Don Bird, said: “Our Personal Injury department is recognised nationally for the depth of experience and the complex cases that we regularly handle. We are delighted to welcome Katrina to the firm; she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and skills that will merge well with those already in the team.”
Commenting on her appointment, Elsey said: “I am really looking forward to being able to help deliver the personal attention that Atherton Godfrey is well known for, and using my experience to make sure that clients continue to receive the high standard of legal services they deserve.”
