Rachel Roach has returned to Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office as a partner in the firm’s medical negligence team.
Roach is returning after a couple of years as a senior solicitor in the healthcare litigation team at Hempsons in Harrogate. She originally completed her training at Irwin Mitchell and worked for several years as a claimant solicitor before making the move into defendant medical negligence work at Hempsons, representing clients including local NHS Trusts.
Commenting on her appointment, head of Irwin Mitchell’s medical negligence team in Leeds, Rachelle Mahapatra said: “We’re delighted to welcome Rachel back to Irwin Mitchell’s medical negligence team in Leeds. Rachel’s expertise in representing clients on both the defendant and claimant side stands her in good stead to understand how to get the best results for her clients.”
Roach, who has a particular expertise in complex birth and spinal injury claims. added: “I’m delighted to be returning to Irwin Mitchell. Roach is the second new partner to join Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office in 2016 following Teresa Davidson’s appointment to the Family Law team from Ward Hadaway.
