The current President of Sheffield and District Law Society, Natalie Cosgrove is a Solicitor based in the award-winning Clinical Negligence department at Switalskis Solicitors.

With an established track record within the complex field of clinical negligence claims, Natalie has a special interest in birth injury claims and working with vulnerable patients, representing clients in multi-million pound cerebral palsy cases. Her legal practice covers all aspects of clinical negligence, including claims against GPs, dentists, hospitals, care homes and following private treatment.

As a South Yorkshire Medico Legal Society committee member, Natalie is highly experienced in fatal claims and inquests, and regularly represents bereaved families. She has Higher Rights of Audience (Civil and Criminal) and has conducted a Judicial Review at coronial level.

Deeply rooted in the local business community, Natalie has strong links with the property development and manufacturing sectors across South Yorkshire and the North West. With her keen interest in business development, Natalie is an integral member of the Switalskis team, taking an active role both in relation to the growth of the Clinical Negligence department and also more broadly in relation to the firm.

Natalie is a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and the Law Society Advocacy Section, and is a former Trustee and treasurer of CAB with responsibility for a £1.25m budget when she was just 25. She also acted as a debt and welfare benefits advisor at Sheffield Citizens Advice Bureau for almost two years. Her current roles include acting as Trustee at Sheffield Mencap and Gateway and volunteering at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
