
Dual-qualified barrister and solicitor June Venters QC has joined KBW Chambers in Leeds as a door tenant.
Venters (pictured), who specialises in family law, children disputes and crime, was the first woman solicitor to be appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2006 and remains one of a few women to achieve this accolade. She is deputy head of chambers at Lamb Building in London and her legal career spans more than 40 years.
Her practice focuses on representing parties on cases involving children in both the family and criminal courts. High-profile work incudes representing individuals in the cases involving Victoria Climbié and Damilola Taylor.
