DLA Piper has promoted Sheffield-based litigation and regulatory lawyer Alastair Clough to its global partnership as part of the firm’s annual promotions round, effective 1 May.
Clough’s practice covers environmental, health and safety law, and product safety, as well as compliance matters.
He has particular expertise in contaminated land and waste management issues, in assessing and allocating environmental liability risk in transactions, and in handling sensitive product safety scenarios.

Globally, DLA Piper has promoted 62 lawyers, across many of the firm’s practice areas in 42 offices throughout 20 countries.
In total, there were 19 promotions in the US, six in Canada, 10 in the IK, 18 across continental Europe, two in Asia, two in Latin America, two in the Middle East, two in Australia and a further one in South Africa.
