Family lawyer Andrea Dyer has joined Ward Hadaway as a partner.
Dyer will work out of the firm’s Leeds office as a partner. She has more than 25 years’ experience representing clients in a full range of family law issues.
Dyers’ work covers a broad spectrum of family law matters including complex financial settlements, pre and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and children issues. She has particular expertise advising on divorce and financial issues and represents a variety of professional and private clients.
Regularly instructed by high net worth clients, often in the owner-managed business sector, she is a well-known figure in the family law sector in Yorkshire, having previously headed up family law practices at two law firms since 1999.
Speaking about her appointment, she said: “I am delighted to be joining such a vibrant, expanding and very well regarded firm.
“Ward Hadaway has made a real name for itself with the quality of its work and its commitment to growing its practice in Yorkshire and it is great to be a part of that process.
“I feel I am joining at an exciting time with the firm’s nomination in four categories of the Yorkshire Legal Awards and its commitment to expanding the legal services which it offers to clients, both on the personal and commercial sides.
“I am looking forward to growing the family law practice in Yorkshire and working with my colleagues in the department and across the firm.”
Jonathan Flower, Partner and Head of Family Law at Ward Hadaway, said: “Andrea’s experience and standing in the family law sector in Yorkshire go before her so we are thrilled she has chosen to join the team at Ward Hadaway.
“I have no doubt that she will prove to be a real asset to the firm and of great benefit to our clients across Yorkshire.
Ward Hadaway was last month shortlisted in four categories of the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2016 – for Private Client Team of the Year, Employment Team of the Year, Corporate and Commercial Team of the Year and Law Firm of the Year.
