Ameet Patel

Ameet is a partner at Stachiw Bashir Green Solicitors, specialising in field of family law. He has an interest in both public and private law children matters as well as domestic abuse and separation.

Ameet won the Cawthron Prize in 2013, which is awarded to a young lawyer who has over the previous 12 months made a significant legal contribution.

He has been a mentor to a number of students at University of Bradford’s Law School over the years and given talks to the new students. He has also served as a board member of the Bradford Law Centre and was involved with the merger with the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Ameet is the safeguarding governor at his children’s primary school, a role he really enjoys. He also tends to chair the disciplinary panels for the academy trust.

He spends his spare time with his children and their busy schedules. He is a huge sports fan and regularly plays golf but enjoy most sports, particularly football and boxing. He also has an interest in classic cars.

He likes to get involved with charity work when he can and has been involved with raising money and awareness for a number of good causes, both local and international.
