I am a Director at Walker Morris LLP specialising in Commercial Litigation and with more than 20 years experience of dealing with disputes in areas such as construction, engineering, professional negligence, contractual and shareholder disputes, fraud and contentious probate. I have been involved in a number of high profile and high value cases and have extensive trial experience, acting for both claimants and defendants. I also run a number of cases using conditional and discounted fee agreements and litigation funding.

I am currently the Deputy President of the Leeds Law Society and the director responsible for Civil Litigation and liaison with the Court Service and the Judiciary on behalf of the Society. This involves working on initiatives to improve the lines of communication between the Court Service and the Judiciary and the practitioners in Leeds. In the age of the Jackson Reforms there have been adjustments for everyone involved in litigation. To date we have had successful ‘Meet the Judges’ events, we have worked with the judiciary on a Pre CCMC Order and other precedents, we have set up the Court Notice Board on the Leeds Law Society website (which includes FAQs and information from the Court Service and information for Litigants in Person). We are currently working on a local protocol for use in Leeds Courts.
