Jill Dickinson

Jill Dickinson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Law and Criminology at Sheffield Hallam University.

During her career, Jill has worked across Yorkshire, in Leeds Wakefield and Sheffield.

Before moving into academia, Jill practised for 10 years as a commercial property lawyer, working for law firms in both Leeds and Sheffield and specialising in retail portfolio management for both landlords and tenants.

Since moving into academia, Jill has led on several courses in both law and management. She has also project-managed a number of employability initiatives, which have involved students working closely with a number of different law firms.

Jill specialises in teaching property law to both lawyers and surveyors and her research interests are in the fields of occupiers’ liability and law’s role in urban regeneration.
